The Company

LifeCuff Technologies is at the forefront of RIC therapy.

LifeCuff Technologies Inc. is developing LifeCuff, a second-generation device for automated delivery of a therapy called Remote Ischemic Conditioning, or RIC - a novel noninvasive therapy for treating a variety of ischemic and inflammatory conditions. This noninvasive treatment involves a series of four 5-min occlusions of an upper arm triggering an innate body response and release of a number of protective substances into the bloodstream.

Boris Leschinsky

Founder, CTO

Boris Leschinsky is the founder and CTO of the Company. He has 30+ years of R&D experience developing a variety of medical technologies and is a named inventor on over 55 US patents. Over his career, he served as a VP Technology for Datascope Corp., CTO of Cerus Endovascular Inc., and VP Product Development for CorInnova Inc. He authored 12 peer-reviewed articles and started 3 companies.

Abe Abramovich

VP of Product Development

Abe Abramovich is a co-founder and the VP of Product Development. He is a senior medical device expert with expertise in product development and engineering. As head of R&D at Datascope’s Patient Monitoring Division, Philips Medical Systems’ Patient Monitoring Division, and North American Dräger, he made significant technical and business contributions to his employers and customers over the past 40 years and was a co-founder of an industrial automation startup in Princeton, NJ.

Kirk Garratt

Chief Medical Officer

Kirk N Garratt, MD, is the co-founder and the Chief Medical Officer of the Company. Dr. Garratt is the Medical Director of the Center for Heart and Vascular Health and the John H. Ammon Chair of Cardiology within ChristianaCare in Newark, DE. His distinguished career in cardiology and clinical research spans over 30 years and includes leading positions at Duke University Medical Center, Mayo Clinic, and Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.

Mathew Regulski

Medical Advisor

Mathew Regulski, MD, is a medical advisor to the Company. He is a renowned specialist in the field of diabetic foot ulcer treatments with hundreds of publications on numerous advanced technologies and procedures for these patients. Dr. Regulski conducted the first IRB-approved clinical study of LifeCuff at his clinic in Toms River, NJ.
